My conservation career started with Kids for Tigers (A Sanctuary Tiger program) Coordinator – Delhi after which i pursued my Qualification with an MSc degree in Conservation & Tourism from DICE, Kent Uni, UK. I was actively helping (TOFT) while doing my MSc dissertation at Ranthambhore NP(Research sponsors: WCS – India IPSG & Kent Uni). I volunteered for the Northumberland Wildlife Trust, UK where i participated in PA / habitat management analysis. Back to India i took on my first position with TOFT as their country Project Manager and later its country director. On 5th June 2008 ‘ World Environment Day’ TOFT India Wildlife Association was formed by me as a Not for Profit section 25 Company (Indian Company Act 1956). Now as Executive Director TOFT India – my job takes me frequently to most of India’s national parks where my works focuses on wildlife conservation issues and impacts. Wildlife Conservation has always been an important part of my life and work feels as if i am perpetually on a holiday for ever. It’s important to love what ever you are doing. Believe in what you are doing. Awarded in 2007 the ABN-AMRO Sanctuary Asia Wildlife Awards for my work with TOFT.
